Quiksilver sells Rossignol - 29 Aug 2008
Chartreuse & Mont Blanc has just announced that it’s to buy the winter sports gear maker ROSSIGNOL for 100 m €, which after our research showed was less than half what QUIKSILVER had paid for it in 2005.
The Business Unit should include the Rossignol, Dynastar, Look and Lange brands of winter sports equipment and apparel.
Chartreuse & Mont Blanc, named for two mountain ranges, is headed by Bruno Cercley, a former chief executive of Rossignol and is owned by Macquarie Group of Australia and Jarden Corp.
Browsing around the web we found numerous comments on this transaction but in our opinion, this is great news for Rossignol; they can finally get back to what they know how to do best.
Cocorico !
