Our friends at “The Active Network” (a network of sites focused on getting people involved in sports) has just raised an additional $80 million led by ESPN, the leading Sports TV Network.
The Active Network was founded in 1998 as a registration site for endurance races and today has over 15 million registered users worldwide!
We found out that the company has made over 10 acquisitions in 2007 alone and is reaching new markets such as camping and education.
